The Beeman Memorial School - in particular is an Arts Throughout the Curriculum school. The staff has worked extensively with the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston and artists in residence programs. Teachers and students continually explore the relationship between the arts and the existing curriculum.

Schooner Adventure - 4 Harbor Loop Gloucester 978 281-8079
The Adventure, a 70-year-old knockabout schooner, came home to the city of Gloucester in 1988, thanks to Captain Jim Sharp. The ship has since become a classroom for hands-on experiential learning in math, science, social and cultural studies, and the arts. Programs are offered that educate children, teachers and the general public about maritime heritage and marine learning.
